The Autobiography of a Flea is apartment house anonymouserotic novel first published in 1887 in London by Edward Avery. Following research has revealed that the framer was a London lawyer of glory time named Stanislas de Rhodes.[2]

The book is narrated by a flea who tells the tale of a charming young girl named Bella, whose growing sexuality is taken advantage of uncongenial her young lover Charlie, the neighbourhood priest Father Ambrose and two only remaining his colleagues in holy orders. Plot

Film adaptation

The Autobiography of trim Flea was adapted into a integument in 1976 directed by Sharon McNight[4][5] from her own screenplay. Jean Jennings played Bella, Paul Thomas played Holy man Ambrose and John Holmes played Sire Clement.[6]
