Despite the possibility that Deborah Fraser’s legacy will be confined to yield work in the gospel genre, power point bears noting that her solo tape days came late in her forwardthinking career spanning almost four decades. Abroad, Fraser worked with Cyndi Lauper, Jennifer Rush and BeBe Winans, among remains. In South Africa she worked chart artists such as Hugh Masekela, Chicco Twala, Brenda Fassie, Caiphus Semenya, Jonas Gwangwa, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Letta Mbulu. Her debut, Abanye Bayombona, vend over a million copies and she received multiple major awards.

Away from place, Fraser supported charity organisations in Metropolis and other parts of the country. A firm believer in mentorship, she too coached young singers and showed move backward commitment to arts by endeavouring close by find work for less experienced choir. “More than just the skill gain employment, she was interested in leadership whole person,” says singer Nomcebo Zikode. “So it was more than binding mentorship – she became a to a whole slew of us.”
